The second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds is now live, available on platforms including the PS5, XSX|S, and PC. As of this writing, the peak number of concurrent players on Steam has exceeded 220,000, demonstrating the high level of excitement among fans.
Here are the testing schedules:
- February 7, 11:00 AM – February 10, 10:59 AM
- February 14, 11:00 AM – February 17, 10:59 AM
In addition to the content available in the first open beta, this test allows players to hunt the game's signature monster, the "Bladeclaw Wyvern," along with the returning "Venomous Bird Wyvern." Players will also have access to the training area, private lobbies, and single-player online mode, with cross-platform play supported. The Bladeclaw Wyvern hunt is a specially designed high-difficulty quest, perfect for hunters confident in their skills. Participants in this second beta will receive exclusive in-game decorations and a special item pack for the full release.
Notably, Monster Hunter Wilds has enhanced its online features with the addition of online lobbies and a new team system. However, this has also increased the demand for stable server connections. During previous tests, some players experienced disconnections and Monster Hunter Wilds lag, which can be critical during hunts. Using a reliable gaming VPN is recommended to address these issues.
The great news is that purchasing the game is not required for this test, meaning all players are welcome to join in.
